@SteveWoodburn It’s ineffective. I tried it out and it wasn’t as “easy” a process as it markets. At the end of the day, clients don’t want to do the thinking, they want us to do that for them

So very true, brands need to tell their story not only through their collateral materials but through promo products https://t.co/V7T1orBQB0

@PromoKitchen A6: I usually jokingly ask how they feel when they get something that falls apart and follow w/ would they want their brand associated with junk? Sometimes less is more & being selective will bring value to the client at the end of the day. #promochat

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen A4, pt 2: Success rate on a blast-away proposition is always +/- 1%, but targeted 3D mailer w/ high quality item(s) will generate a response that you can quantify and, more importantly, respond to! #promochat

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen A4: Loaded question - depends upon the aim of your campaign. I work on multi-touch campaigns that start w/ low-cost mailer promo, and then follow with high quality multi-dimensional mailer to pre-qualified prospects to set the table. Can't blast away w/o plan #promochat

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen A3: Budget, carelessness & lack of brand-centric thought. There's a mindset that promo items are collateral & don't generate revenue. They forget that impressions count & anything w/ your brand is an extension of it. #promochat

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen A2: Yes, depending on the program. For trade shows, cheap stuff works for the arm draggers who just want things. Mailers, yes so long as it complements the message. Sales leaves - absolutely not, you look cheap & unprofessional.

@PromoKitchen A1: I see the company as either very young or very cheap - I hate to say it, but if I get one of those National Pen items from a company, I throw it out knowing it was bought as a mail-order thing. #promchat

@PromoKitchen Twitter for quick hits of info, Instagram, Facebook, etc. I will say that Facebook is waning in use as their algorithm hurts biz, but LInkedIn is still a player. You have to use socials for specific jobs for them to be successful

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen The issue w/ supplier-driven blog posts is that inevitably they are not distributor-branded or have the supplier's info somewhere which doesn't help solidify the rep of the distributor as a solution provider #promochat

@PromoKitchen Q2/A2: 2) It's hard for the small biz owner to handle blogging, social media, website maintenance, selling, staff, etc. Even w/ tools, it's difficult to do consistently.

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen Q2/A2: Blogging is best when paired with calls to action and social media. It's also a great SEO trick - use the same keywords and links as the product/service you are pimping, and your search positioning should go up. Myself, I have a crappy blog because I'm too busy selling

from Twitter https://twitter.com/WhiteboardPromo

@PromoKitchen Q1/A1: Inbound or pull marketing is designed to have prospects go to your website, sign up for your newsletter, or buy a certain product. Typically it's done via AdWords, organic search terms, social media, or affiliate marketing.
